The Exhibition “Making Slums History’ will showcase the 20 countries that have made the most progress in improving the lives of slum dwellers during the decade 2000-2010.

Each country will present their successful slum upgrading and affordable housing policies and programmes, detailing innovative mechanisms for urban planning and design, land, finance, infrastructure and participatory engagement that have facilitated effective progress.

The Exhibition aims to share successful experiences, methodologies and evaluation methods with regard to slum improvement. Furthermore, it aims to foster new inter-regional and country partnerships with a view to strengthening south-south cooperation.

Other exhibition stalls include the Kingdom of Morocco, the Participatory Slum Upgrading Programme (PSUP) and the Global Housing Strategy to the year 2025.

The Exhibition will run parallel to the three-day conference and is located in the same venue. Entrance is by invitation.
