UN-Habitat has produced a new series of ‘quick guides’ on Urban Patterns for a Green Economy, showing how cities andcity-regions can employ sustainable patterns for a green economy. These guidesaim to inspire city managers to think more broadly about the role of theircities, and collaborate with experts and interest groups across disciplines andsectors to promote both human and environmental prosperity.
The guides were launched at several events at Rio+20 andthey were well received by policy makers and practitioners from a diverse rangeof member states and cities. They can be downloaded from the UN-Habitat page ofthe UNCSD Rio+20 website. Click here for details |
