UN-Habitat on Tuesday announced the 2012 Scroll of Honour Award winners.
At a press conference at the ongoing Sixth Session of the World Urban Forum, the Executive Director unveiled the names of the winners and praised them for the exemplary work they were doing to change their communities.
They are varied in their work as they are in gtheir countries of origin but one thing came out clearly, the winners deserved to be feted. From Brazil through China to Zimbabwe, the list was all inclusive.
