Venue: Waipuna Lodge Organizers : Global WOPs Alliance/UNHABITAT and Pacific Water and Wastes Association (PWWA)
As the first WOPs event in the Pacific by Global WOPs Alliance, the Matchmaking Workshop on the 1st day will be organized to identify opportunities for twinning and co-learning between water and wastewater utilities in the region by sharing successful cases and challenges. The meeting will also discuss mechanisms for facilitating more Water Operators’ Partnerships in the subregion including the possibility of a WOPs platform in the Pacific, which could be announced on the occasion of the Pacific Water Conference and EXPO 2010 in September 2010. The objective the Benchmarking Workshop on the 2nd day is for members of PWWA to discuss, agree and familiarize with formulas to be used in the PWWA Benchmarking. Also adopt methods of collecting raw data as well as regular monitoring. It is also an opportunity to discuss a possibility of how the data can be visualized and analyzed in GRUBS (the Geo Referenced Utilities Benchmarking System: www.gwopa.org/grubs), which was recently launched by GWOPA. |
