This year's World Water Week will take place on 5-11 September in Stockholm under the theme, Responding to Global Changes: The Water Quality Challenge - Prevention, Wise Use and Abatement. Among the topics to be discussed by a wide group of people from governments, business, academia, international organizations, NGOs and water management practitioners, the issue of Solutions for the cities of the futurewill be explored. UN-Water and UN-HABITAT have scheduled the following seminars: - World Water Day 2011 - Urban Water Management: Key Issues and Priorities for Action from 09:00 to 12:30 on Tuesday, 7 September (UN Water)
- h2.0 Monitoring Services to Inform and Empower from 17:45 to 18:45 on Wednesday, 8 September (UNHABITAT with Google, German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), WaterAid and the University of Twente)
- Urbanisation and Water Management: Turning Adversity into Opportunity from 09:00 to 12:30 on Thursday, 9 September (UN-HABITAT)
