The Advisory Board is composed of researchers with substantial human settlements expertise. Its main objective is to channel expert advice to UN-HABITAT on the substantive contents and organization of the Global Report on Human Settlements. Members are appointed every two years by the Executive Director of UN-HABITAT. To ensure global representation, the Board includes members from various world regions.
