Organization of African Youth (OAY) presents Youth Unit with a certificate of appreciation

Leaders of the Kenyan chapter of the Organization of African Youth (OAY) paid a courtesy call on UN-Habitat to thank the agency for its support in hosting the African Youth conference on the Post 2015 Development Agenda that was held on 17th to 19th December 2012.

The first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, Wangari Maathai of Kenya, died overnight at a Nairobi hospital. Her organization, the Green Belt Movement, said Wangari had been undergoing cancer treatment. She was 71.
