UN-HABITAT delivered a seminar for 15 graduate students entitled "Disaster Management and Disaster Risk Reduction in Urban Areas as part of the Erasmus Mundo-URBANO Masters in International Cooperation programme held at the International University of Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.
An MA course on Sustainable Urban Governance and Peace

This is a new one-year Masters programme on Sustainable Urban Governance, Urban Resilience and Peace. Developed by UN-HABITAT in collaboration with the University for Peace, San José, Costa Rica, it enables students to learn about urban governance, Urban Risk & Resilience and peace, and give them the chance to meet those dealing with these matters on a daily basis.
McGill University students visit UN-HABITAT

Habitat Partner University Initiative holds 2011 e-forum

Habitat Partner University E-forum: Habitat Partner Universities, defining phase II of the initiative. The Habitat Partner University Initiative launches an e-forum in preparation for the Global Habitat Partner University Initiative meeting which is to be held later in the year. The purpose of the e-forum is to further define the way forward for the initiative. In four stages, the e-forum will explore key questions relating to the institutional structure, priority areas in the field of urban education, urban research and knowledge management. The e-forum will open on 17 January 2011.
