This document was produced through a joint initiative of the United Nations Human Settlement Programme UN-Habitat in association with Rand Water. It is a relatively simple and straightforward document aimed at providing water suppliers with some guidance on how to manage their water losses in their potable water distribution systems. Unlike many other publications aimed at Water Conservation and WDM procedures, this manual does not attempt to cover the entire field but concentrates on certain key issues that are of particular relevance and importance in most African situations.
