Community-based Water Supply and Sanitation Project Xieng Ngeun, LuangprabanG, Lao PDR
In August 2005, UN-HABITAT entered into a cooperation agreement with the Water Supply State Owned Enterprise of the Province of Luang Prabang for implementing an innavative fast-track water and sanitation project in Xieng Ngeun District called “Community-based Water Supply and Sanitation Project” to demonstrate how a community can work with a water supply entity (WSE) to acquire water and adequate sanitation and also enhance capacity of the Public Utility and the Civil Society.
