Shelter and Housing: UN-HABITAT In disaster and conflict contexts
Housing reconstruction enables people to rebuild their lives and their communities. Following a disaster, houses are the most prolific area of destruction. This brochure provides an overview of the issues surrounding reconstruction and the approaches to the same. It highlights UN-HABITAT's expertise in shelter and housing and, using a global map, illustrates samples of UN-HABITAT reconstruction activities in crisis-affected countries.
